Professor Dr. Nada Khalifa, a lecturer at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in the Fourth Baghdad International Water Conference, which was held by the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources in cooperation with the Ministries of Irrigation in Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, and Jordan, as well as the participation of other international organizations. Khalifa participated in the sessions of the first day of the conference presented its working paper, which focused on the per capita share of potable water and the mechanism for activating the tariff.
Dr. Khalifa stated that the conference’s recommendations focused on the need to strengthen international cooperation, secure the water needs of riparian countries, respect their rights and interests, and enhance the unique value of water.
