The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held an introductory training workshop titled “Fire Prevention and Handling Methods.” The workshop was delivered by the Center’s Civil Defense Unit Officer, Ali Jassim, and attended by the Center’s faculty and staff. The workshop aimed to introduce fire prevention methods and how to use fire extinguishers based on the fire and its cause.

Jassim also presented a short film about the Center’s emergency doors, which are used in disasters to maintain civil safety. It is worth noting that the Center for Urban and Regional Planning has prepared all public safety requirements, including the distribution of fire extinguishers, the opening of all emergency doors, and the shutting off of electrical sources in all Center buildings. Civil Defense guards and surveillance cameras are also present.
