The journal aims to provide a rigorous academic platform for researchers, academics, and specialists in planning and spatial development. It publishes research that offers clear conceptual and methodological contributions to contemporary urban and regional challenges, grounded in robust theoretical frameworks and rigorous analytical methodologies. The journal focuses on studies that advance planning knowledge, support spatial decision-making, improve urban and regional policies, and promote sustainability, governance, and the quality of the built environment.

Urban and Regional Planning Theory and Practice: Including urban planning, regional planning, urbanization and urban transformations, contemporary planning systems, history of planning thought, the Arab city and cultural shifts, urban governance, planning policies, and planning laws and legislation.
Sustainable Development and Environmental Planning: Including urban sustainability, climate change and urban adaptation, environmental planning, environmental pollution, urban resilience, green infrastructure, natural resource management, low-carbon planning, and urban environmental sustainability.
Urban Design, Housing, and the Built Environment: Including urban design, public space design, housing planning, the built environment, quality of urban life, urban morphology, urban heritage, community-oriented design, and built environment studies.

The journal exclusively accepts original research articles and review papers that make a clear contribution to urban and regional planning knowledge, methodologies, policies, or applications.
