The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, which is one of the formations of the University of Baghdad, seeks to follow a policy to improve the center’s environment, which includes studying the strengths and weaknesses of its scientific environment, according to the seventeen integrated goals of the United Nations, which are one of the most important axes of sustainable development for it. Therefore, it aims to preserve its environment and resources and reduce the negative impact on it to ensure its existence for current and future generations. All this is done by improving the quality of education and scientific research in the environment and sustainability, in addition to enhancing curricula with everything related to urban sustainability and renewable energy, and working to improve and create sustainable cities, urban and regionally.
