The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies organized a procession to serve pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), located on the Dora highway, coinciding with the Arbaeen commemoration. The procession was sponsored by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, in cooperation with the University’s Department of Artistic and Student Activities.

The Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, emphasized that commemorating the Husseini rituals and serving the pilgrims is a sacred duty and a noble honor in light of a cause and message that embodies the triumph of truth over falsehood, in order to spread Islam, peace, and humanity throughout the world.

A number of faculty and staff from the Center participated in this initiative, serving pilgrims by providing food and drinks and providing awareness-raising guidance.

This participation is part of a series of annual activities organized by the University of Baghdad and the Center for Urban and Regional Planning to serve the community and promote the values of human solidarity on religious and national occasions.
