The Academic Promotions Unit at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held its regular meeting, chaired by the Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and a number of members of the Unit and the Academic Promotions Committee.
The meeting aimed to discuss the promotion mechanisms for a number of faculty members who meet the qualifications, so that they can be submitted to the University Presidency for approval and the issuance of university orders.
It also highlighted the latest instructions from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the directives of the University of Baghdad Presidency regarding faculty promotions, including the number of published research papers and other relevant information, as well as the academic background and specific specialization of each faculty member.
