The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held its third regular meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board, chaired by the Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and attended by members from the Ministry of Planning, the Baghdad Municipality, and others.

The meeting’s agenda included the addition of a new curriculum course specializing in artificial intelligence, as well as the development of summer training for the Center’s students and efforts to integrate training into the private sector.

The meeting also discussed updating academic plans and curricula to align with the requirements of the labor market in both the public and private sectors. It also sought to implement the proposals of the Advisory Board members and the possibility of implementing them, such as holding training courses and activities in cooperation with committee members in other state institutions, to develop skills, hone expertise, and produce outcomes that will be implemented on the ground.

It is worth noting that the Industrial Advisory Board seeks to develop the education, industrial, and labor sectors, qualify students and academic staff according to the latest developments in the labor market and industrial sectors, and emphasize the creation of job opportunities for graduates.
