The library

The library was established in 1971 and it has a section of books, periodicals, electronic library, government publications, and Arabic and foreign books. There are the latest publications of  the year 2009, library pioneers from various ministries and universities. There are about 21 titles of the magazine in Arabic and foreign languages, borrowing sides are Colleges of University of Baghdad and various universities of the country and private colleges and ministries and other official departments such as the secretariat of Baghdad, the library staff follows book fairs where they  collects resources through exhibitions to add sources continuously.

One of the specifications of the organizational structure of the library is to be headed by an employee holding a relevant university degree in charge of supervising and organizing the library and scientific sources, receiving books and periodicals coming to the library from various authorities, maintaining the books and supplies in the library and making an annual inventory of the library contents from all scientific sources and any other matters Library work and duties.

The library contain   each of the following units:

  First: The Periodical books Unit

    It consists of an employee holding a relevant university degree in charge of the follow-up of scientific journals with various authorities and the work of classification, indexing, classification and registration.

  Second: the borrowing Unit

It consists of an employee holding a university degree who organizes and follows up the borrowing of books from the library and the preparation of office IDs for teachers and students.

  Third: Automated Systems Unit

  It consists of an employee holding a university degree who organizes books on the computer and prepares them for teachers and students when needed.
