Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Drugs and their Impact on Individuals and Society) delivered by the assistant teacher, Fatima Khaleel Ibrahim. The workshop aimed to introduce drugs, their types, and their social, economic, and security effects. The workshop also touched on the bad health effects of drugs and ways to combat them and their spread.

The workshop also presented digital addiction or digital drugs, which is a new type of narcotic substance that is more dangerous than the known forms of addiction, explaining its types, characteristics, and danger to society.

The workshop reached a set of solutions, including the need to follow up and monitor children, provide entertainment and sports places to fill their free time, organize local and international competitions and help them participate in them, as well as government efforts to limit the spread of drugs by legislating laws and implementing them strictly, and increasing awareness by holding forums.
