The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled (tourist place industry to achieve eco-tourism) by researcher Sally Ahmed Nouri, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Areej Khairy Al-Rawi. Eco-tourism in Heet, highlighting the elements of natural tourist attractions in it to achieve a qualitative eco-tourism experience for the tourist. Distinctive when using the tourist place industry approach.
The researcher also recommended the use of the tourism industry approach (tactical to rehabilitate the Bayader Oasis, Al-Ayoun Al-Qairiya and Al-Sulfurite, and add environmentally friendly cafes and cafeterias, outdoor cinemas, and road lighting by renewable energy cells) and rehabilitate the Hit Castle and its walls, and a number of the city’s archaeological landmarks.
