The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad received a delegation from the Center for Educational and Psychological Research to discuss the operational mechanisms of counseling units and to strengthen cooperation in the field of university psychological counseling. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Abdul-Wahab Ahmed Jameel, head of the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the Center, and subsequently met with the Center’s Dean, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan. During the meeting, the participants discussed the organization and functions of counseling units—a particularly relevant topic given that the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the Center was recently established.
The meeting also addressed ways to exchange expertise and practical experience in university psychological counseling, with the aim of enhancing the performance and role of these counseling units, and fostering a university environment that supports mental well-being.
