The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Graduate Studies organized a procession to serve pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) on the highway in the Al-Dora district, coinciding with the Arba’een commemoration, in cooperation with the university’s Department of Artistic and Student Activities.

The Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, emphasized that commemorating the Husseini rituals and serving the pilgrims is a sacred duty and a noble honor in the face of a cause and message that embodies the triumph of truth over falsehood, for the sake of spreading Islam, peace, and humanity throughout the world.

A number of faculty members and staff from the Center participated in this initiative, providing food, drinks, and some educational guidance to the pilgrims.

This participation comes within the framework of the annual activities organized by the University of Baghdad and the Center for Urban and Regional Planning to serve the community and promote the values of human solidarity during religious and national occasions.
