Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, chaired a meeting of the university committee formed to regulate the role of emeritus professors at the College of Science. The meeting, which included a select group of academic leaders, aimed to establish guidelines for the work of emeritus professors within the university.

The meeting reviewed the key points of the university order, which is based on decisions of the University Council, with the goal of formulating a comprehensive vision that ensures the utilization of the extensive academic expertise and scholarly decisions of emeritus professors to serve scientific research and sustainable development across all university departments.

The meeting included Professor Dr. Raed Falih, Dean of the College of Science; Professor Dr. Wadoud Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College of Engineering (Al-Khwarizmi); Professor Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed, Dean of the College of Education for Women; Professor Dr. Kadhim Abdul Wahid, Dean of the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies; Professor Dr. Hussein Qasim Hussein, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and Assistant Lecturer Hadeer Maad Wahib, the committee’s rapporteur.
