The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad received a field visit from a group of faculty members and undergraduate students from the Colleges of Engineering (Al-Khwarizmi) and Political Science.
The Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, welcomed the visitors, speaking to them about the Center’s history and its scientific and practical achievements. He emphasized the importance of the relationship between scientific and humanities disciplines in planning, implementation, and outcomes.
The visitors, accompanied by the Dean, toured the Center’s facilities, beginning with the Baghdad Panorama. They also visited the Center’s library to learn about the types and nature of its resources. The field visit concluded with a tour of the GIS laboratory, one of the most modern laboratories specializing in Geographic Information Systems.
