Professor Kareem Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in a meeting at the Ministry of Construction and Housing, along with members of the University of Baghdad’s administration and others. The meeting, chaired by Minister of Construction and Housing, Benkin Rikani, aimed to develop the entrances and exits of the University of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain University, and to connect them to the bridge currently under construction from the Al-Qadisiyah area towards the eastern side of the University of Baghdad, in order to accommodate future traffic. Alwan confirmed that the meeting discussed preparing designs for the construction of modern roads and opening new entrances and exits to facilitate access to and from the two universities.

It is worth noting that the meeting was attended by the Director General of the Roads and Bridges Department, Engineer Hussein Jassim Kadhim, the Security Coordinator for Traffic Congestion Relief Projects in the Prime Minister’s Office, Lieutenant General Jassim Al-Zubaidi, and a number of advisors.
