The Center Participates in the National Meeting on Spatial Technologies
The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad participated in the first national meeting on unifying spatial technology standards and resolving underground service intersections at the National Center for Spatial Data Management, held at the National Security Advisory. Representatives from several ministries and government agencies attended. The Center was represented by Assistant Dean Professor Dr. Muheeb Kamel, Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdul Jalil, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Khalil, who emphasized that the meeting aimed to discuss establishing unified national standards for spatial technologies and addressing the challenges of underground service intersections.
It is worth noting that the meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministries of Electricity, Communications, Construction, Housing, and Municipalities, as well as the Military Survey Authority at the Ministry of Defense, the General Survey Authority at the Ministry of Water Resources, the Antiquities Authority at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Geological Survey Authority at the Ministry of Industry.
