The Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, received the President of the Middle Technical University, Professor Dr. Wadah Amer Hatem. The two discussed ways to enhance cooperation between their institutions, as well as scientific advancements and the adoption of sustainability in all aspects of life. Dr. Alwan provided a detailed explanation of the Center’s role and its scientific output, particularly given that planning has become fundamental to launching and sustaining any project according to established scientific standards.

Dr. Hatem also viewed the Baghdad Panorama, one of the Center’s recent achievements, which chronicles the history of Baghdad’s founding and development up to the present day, showcasing its various urban phases and reflecting real-world urban designs, thus paving the way for future urban planning.

It is worth noting that the President of the Middle Technical University commended the Center and the quality of its output, recognizing it as a leading center in the field of urban design and planning.
