Fatima Khalil Ibrahim, assistant lecturer at the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in the launch ceremony of the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace for the years 2025-2030, launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research this year.

Khalil noted that the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized the need to provide an appropriate environment for academic projects responsible for supporting women and enhancing their opportunities to participate in building society. Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry, explained that the Ministry sponsors women’s innovations and initiatives aimed at achieving social integration and strengthening family structures in the face of various challenges.

The Minister of Higher Education honored distinguished female faculty and staff in the Ministry’s institutions, emphasizing that programs and activities supporting women’s affairs are a major focus of the Ministry. He highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary conditions and environment to support women’s capabilities and encourage them to excel in educational, academic, social, economic, political, and other fields.
