Artificial Intelligence and Urban Development: Workshop
The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence and Urban Development,” delivered by Dr. Inas Diaa Hadi, as part of the center’s scientific unit activities. Faculty members, staff, and students attended the workshop.
The workshop aimed to encourage awareness of artificial intelligence models and their role in developing smart cities. This facilitates identifying urban problems, analyzing data, and ultimately making sound, sustainable decisions. Diaa emphasized that artificial intelligence will be incorporated into the organization of transportation and traffic management in urban areas, using its modern technologies. This will be enhanced by harnessing data for sustainable planning, enhancing public safety, responding to emergencies, and transforming cities into resilient cities by enabling community participation in public services supported by artificial intelligence.
It is worth noting that the Center has organized numerous workshops and seminars on artificial intelligence, its uses, and its application in urban planning to achieve the highest levels of sustainability in a modern urban city.
