Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Hashim Sahen, a lecturer at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, participated in the scientific conference entitled (Combating Intellectual Terrorism and its Impact on Enhancing Community Security) as a member of the scientific committee of the conference, which was held by the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad in cooperation with the Popular Mobilization Authority, and attended by the Commander of the Diyala Operations of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Talib Al-Moussawi, and academic and political figures. The conference aimed to spread the culture of ways to confront intellectual terrorism and its role in creating an intellectually secure society to be a basis for achieving sustainable security. Sahen confirmed that the conference included two sessions, in which the participating research was discussed, in addition to opening the door for dialogue and discussion regarding each research and paper presented at the conference. The conference came out with recommendations that address intellectual terrorism and enhance the role of the academic institution in creating an intellectually secure society. Before the conclusion of the conference activities, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participating professors in the conference.
