The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies participated in the central celebration of Victory Day on its seventh anniversary, which was organized by the University of Baghdad in the presence of its president, his assistants, and deans of formations, in addition to a group of faculty members, employees, and students. The celebration began with a recorded speech by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in which he stressed that victory is an inspiration for pride, loftiness, and glorious triumph, which will be immortalized in the conscience and awe of future generations, and confirms that this country has men, martyrs, sacrificers, and shields of heroism that will tell the world every year a resounding position that terrorism will not find a place or a path in the land of the two rivers.

For his part, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, stressed in a speech that Iraq, at that stage, with its people, army, security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, stood with pride and dignity against darkness to establish peace and restore freedom through pure blood that was shed in order to keep the flag of the homeland high and fluttering, after the martyrs wrote with their pure blood an epic that generations will not forget, and the wounded proved that sacrifice for the homeland is the highest degree of loyalty. The celebration included a group of cultural and artistic activities, starting with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, and words praising the heroic efforts made by the Iraqi security forces in all their categories in the liberation battles.
