The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies participated in the exhibition of scientific products of Iraqi universities, which was held at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, with the participation of all Iraqi universities in their various scientific and humanitarian specializations.
The exhibition was opened by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, along with members of the Association of Arab Universities and university presidents participating in the fifty-sixth session of the Conference of the Association of Arab Universities held in the capital, Baghdad.
Al-Aboudi and the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Amr Ezzat Salama, visited the exhibition’s pavilions, which included scientific innovations and patents presented by Iraqi universities, as well as scientific publications and innovative technical devices and equipment.
The Minister of Education also inspected the center’s exhibition and viewed its displayed scientific products, which included designs (moquettes and panoramic photos) for cities and residential neighborhoods in Baghdad and a number of governorates. He praised the role of the center as being a rich scientific reference for researchers. The deputy minister for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, stressed during his visit to the center’s exhibition the importance of developing the research environment and enhancing it through knowledge openness to other universities to produce joint scientific research and invest it in, supplying the requirements of the labor market to keep pace with the indicators of the scientific and technical path in the world.
It is noteworthy that the center’s exhibition witnessed numerous visits at the local and Arab levels, and they were received by the Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and the committee accompanying him.
