The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad hosted the Governor of Dhi Qar, Dr. Muhammad Hadi, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two parties.
The Dean of the Center, Prof. Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, assured the governor that the scientific capabilities of the center were utilized to provide the scientific side with regard to design and technical advice in implementation, especially after the University of Baghdad adopted its motto (the university in the service of society).
For his part, the governor of Dhi Qar praised the scientific and technical efforts of the planning advisory office in the center in its design of the tourist city of Ur, which has begun to be implemented to be the best tourist destination in southern Iraq.
It is noteworthy that the two parties exchanged talks about future cooperation mechanisms and benefiting from experiences related to planning, construction and sustainability.
