The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad has formed a dedicated committee to welcome and facilitate the admission of international students for Master’s and Higher Diploma programs for the 2026–2027 academic year. The committee aims to receive these students and arrange necessary logistics—including transportation, accommodation, and study requirements—in alignment with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s “Study in Iraq” program.

Comprising faculty and staff members from the Cultural Relations, Registration, and Follow-up units, the committee is tasked with preparing for the students’ arrival and enrollment, all under the supervision of the Center’s Dean, Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan.
The Center has admitted three international students from various countries to pursue Master’s and Higher Diploma studies in Urban and Regional Planning. This specialization is significant for developing sustainable neighborhoods and cities based on scientific and practical standards that address engineering, geographical, and social dimensions. The goal is to create residential environments grounded in sustainability concepts—prioritizing dignified living, good health, and safety—supported by modern, advanced educational practices.
