The Urban and Regional Planning Center at the University of Baghdad launched a tree-planting campaign to celebrate World Environment Day, aiming to raise environmental awareness and instill sustainability principles within the university campus. The campaign saw the participation of the center’s faculty and staff, and included planting a large number of seasonal and perennial flowers, along with various shrubs, in the center’s front garden and the walkway leading to it.
This campaign aligns with the center’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals for climate and environmental preservation, while simultaneously promoting environmental awareness and encouraging positive behaviors within the university community.
