The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad received an assessment committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to assess the performance of the university’s departments. The committee inspected the center’s Quality Assurance Unit and reviewed the evaluation of several faculty members. Their files were examined in terms of professional commitment, publication of research in international databases and authored books, courses taught, supervision of postgraduate students, participation in committees, organization of seminars and workshops, scientific and field visits, letters of appreciation, and other relevant criteria.
The committee commended the center’s organizational work in collecting, documenting, and archiving information according to established regulations and the entitlements of each faculty member, which were found to be fully compliant.
