The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning Graduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled “Managing Stress and Completing Tasks with Enjoyment,” presented by Ms. Amal Atta Mahdi, with the participation of faculty and staff from the center. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of stress and its causes, help participants understand its impact on performance and health, and enhance their ability to complete tasks in a balanced and enjoyable manner.
Ms. Mahdi addressed the concept of stress and its causes, sources, and effects, as well as stress management skills to overcome it and complete assigned tasks effectively without affecting administrative work. The workshop recommended not ignoring stress but dealing with it consciously, adopting a balanced lifestyle between work and rest, seeking support when needed, and continuously practicing time and stress management, making enjoyment and satisfaction an essential part of the journey of achievement, not just a means to an end.
