The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad launched a voluntary autumn tree-planting campaign under the slogan “University of Baghdad Plants for a Green Future.” The campaign was supervised by the Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and involved faculty, staff, and postgraduate students.
The campaign included planting 80 evergreen trees in the center’s outdoor garden, as well as 20 rose bushes in the center’s indoor garden, all donated by the center’s students.
It is worth noting that the University of Baghdad’s Administrative Affairs Department provided the center with a number of acacia, albizia, bougainvillea, and rose bushes to promote a sustainable green environment and encourage the spread of green culture for a healthy university environment.
