The Quality Assurance and University Performance Unit at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Performance Evaluation Mechanism According to the Updated Forms for the Year 2023-2024), delivered by the lecturer at the center, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarah Mahmoud, along with Mrs. Hiam Hamid and Mrs. Duaa Hussein, and in the presence of the center’s professors and employees. The workshop aimed to clarify the evaluation mechanism for both the lecturer and the employee, as well as the forms that must be filled out according to the controls set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Baghdad.
Mahmoud discussed the evaluation of teaching staff and administrative staff not assigned to teaching according to the updated form based on job performance and capabilities, as well as strengths and weaknesses. It was noted that performance evaluation will depend on the number of published research and the H-INDEX, in addition to workshops, committees, continuing education courses, and participation in conferences and seminars. The workshop also touched on the conditions for evaluating an employee, which depends on his membership in permanent and temporary committees, in addition to volunteer work and letters of appreciation he received, while his job performance remains the decisive factor in his annual evaluation. She also highlighted the evaluation of professionals and craftsmen, which is based on the evaluation of his direct supervisor of his performance.
