A new meeting of the committee for the 10th Arbaeen Pilgrimage Conference was held at the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, and included faculty members from the College of Science: Assistant Professor Dr. Najah Abdul Hassan, Lecturer Dr. Hassan Jaber Al-Ata, and Lecturer Dr. Khalid Hussein, as well as Professor Dr. Faisal Ghazi from the College of Artificial Intelligence.

Alwan emphasized that this meeting is part of a series of preparatory meetings for the 10th International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, scheduled to be held at the beginning of August 2026. The conference will be organized in cooperation with the Karbala Center for Studies and Research at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, and will feature the participation of professors from the University of Baghdad. The meeting discussed the latest proposals for the university’s participation with distinguished research that reflects its scientific standing. This research, prepared by the professors in coordination with the Karbala Center, will contribute to this scientific event, alongside several institutions from the public and private sectors. It is worth mentioning that the next meeting of the University of Baghdad working group will be held at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham on Tuesday, February 17, where the committee will discuss a number of topics related to research, the mechanism for publishing it, and other topics.
