The Dean Discusses with a University Committee the Establishment of a Postgraduate Studies Institute
Professor Kareem Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, chaired a university committee tasked with establishing a postgraduate institute. At the committee’s first meeting, Alwan emphasized the importance of discussing the points and proposals outlined in the minutes of the joint meeting between the University of Baghdad and the Scientific Research Authority. He also stressed the need to develop a vision and action plan, as well as to present a study on establishing a postgraduate institute affiliated with the University of Baghdad. The aim is to broaden the scope of postgraduate studies in terms of scientific rigor and knowledge objectives, and to utilize these studies to serve the educational process in Iraq.
The meeting included six deans from the Colleges of Medicine (Al-Kindi), Genetic Engineering, Science, and Engineering, in addition to the deans of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies and the Institute of Genetic Engineering.
