The Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, received Engineer Ahmed Ismail, Advisor to the Ministry of Construction and Housing.
The two discussed avenues for cooperation on both academic and practical levels, as well as the possibility of holding conferences, seminars, and workshops in the future.
Ismail toured the center and visited the GIS laboratory, praising its scientific capabilities related to mapping, which serve those working in the fields of urban planning and architectural design.
They also discussed the latest developments regarding the recent meeting between the University of Baghdad and the Ministry of Construction concerning alleviating traffic congestion and developing the entrances and exits of the Universities of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain, connecting them to the overpass projects currently under construction towards the east of the University of Baghdad to accommodate future traffic flow.
