The head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Center ofUrban and Regional Planning at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Lecturer Fatima Khalil Ibrahim, participated in the meeting of the heads of the Women’s Affairs Units at the University of Baghdad. The meeting, which was organized by the Women’s Affairs Division at the university, was attended by the Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, and the Director of the Women’s Affairs Division at the university, Lecturer Sinai Aboud Al-Hamami, in addition to the heads of the Women’s Affairs Units in all university formations.
The meeting was held to enhance the work of the heads of the units and the liaison members and to discuss the most prominent obstacles and work to overcome them, in addition to determining the strategic plans for the work of the units. Al-Abadi said that the Women’s Affairs Division at the ministry implements more than one precise strategy related to consolidating the scientific, academic, psychological and economic status of women, and developing their capabilities in leading society as a partner in achieving scientific achievements. She added that His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, pays great attention to supporting women’s affairs and taking their real role and prestigious position in representing leadership positions, indicating that the officials of the women’s affairs departments and units in the universities are responsible for activating activities related to women and creating appropriate climates for their development.
