The National Center for Population and Demographic Studies, in cooperation with the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, held a scientific workshop entitled (Population Census and Housing). The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Majid Saddam Salem, Assistant Instructor Fadhel Malik Fadhel, and Mr. Osama Sami Adai. The workshop aimed to introduce the importance of the population census and its developmental, economic, service, health, and educational benefits. It included a historical overview of previous population censuses and their most important features and benefits. The workshop also clarified the most important obstacles to completing the current population census and how to deal with them. The lecturers encouraged the attendees to cooperate with the census teams and provide them with the correct information because it contributes to improving the country’s standard of living, service, and education.

The census form and the most important questions in it were also identified, and brochures related to the population census were distributed.
