The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad hosted a scientific symposium entitled (Countering Intellectual Terrorism), which was organized by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for Postgraduate Studies in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf. He was received by the Dean of the Urban Planning Center, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, along with the Dean of the Institute of Engineering. Genetics Professor Dr. Saif Daoud Al-Ahmar.
Alwan confirmed that it dealt with the history of terrorism that has Iraq has gone through since 2003, in addition to the international intellectual terrorism and the role of universities in confronting it and spreading a culture of acceptance of others and peaceful coexistence.
The door was opened for discussion and exchange of opinions to reject all forms of violence, and lecturers from the Department of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior were honored, in addition to honoring the Dean of the Urban Planning Center, Dr. Alwan.
