The Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, presented an academic vision to solve the housing crisis through the establishment of new cities after the increase in the population, provided that the principle of sustainability is available in the new cities, provided that it is not satisfied with distributing lands to citizens in sometime.
Alwan also clarified other details related to resolving the housing crisis in Iraq, in an interview with Al-Sabah, the official newspaper, on Saturday morning, June 24, 2023.
