The museum is the most prominent cultural edifice dedicated to highlighting the treasures of the Urban and Regional Planning Center for Graduate Studies since its establishment in 1971 to the present day, through which we look forward to our promising future. The museum was established based on the directives of the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, where the Urban and Regional Planning Center worked to establish the museum after choosing a site near the center’s library. Work was done to install two golden aluminum exhibits with glass facades and internal lighting, to select the materials to be displayed in the museum, the most prominent of which are pictures of the first batch in 1974, with professors from Britain, and a picture of the field work of the fourth batch with a professor from India in 1978, as well as the first higher diploma project equivalent to a master’s degree from the first batch for the academic year (1973-1974), the first master’s thesis, the first doctoral dissertation, and the first higher diploma project, in addition to a number of professors’ writings, and various pictures, including pictures of professors who have passed away. In addition to pictures of the deans of the center with reference to their years of work. It also displayed various projects by the Planning Consulting Office in Iraqi cities, and other projects by the Center’s students.
