The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held an educational workshop entitled (Homosexuality), delivered by the international trainer accredited by the American Academy, Najla Tariq, in the presence of the center’s professors and employees. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of homosexuality in societies, as it is part of acquired behavior and other genes that cannot be controlled, in light of openness, mixing, lack of family supervision, and ideological deterrents.
Tariq discussed the social factors of homosexuality and the extent of the impact of family separation on delinquency, as well as the factors of customs and interactions between family members, social harmony and religious education within the family. Signs of homosexuality in both sexes and how to confront it were addressed, as well as education about its social dangers.
