Course at the Urban Planning Center on public Employee Rights
The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad held a a course entitled (The Rights and Duties of the Public Employee in accordance with the State Employees Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991, as amended) delivered by the assistant lecturer Haider Adnan Sadiq, in the presence of the center’s teachers and employees. The course aimed to raise the expertise and competence of the administrative employee, whether at the academic level or at the administrative level, due to his knowledge of his rights and the laws under which he works, as well as the limits of his powers. The course dealt with the duties and rights of the public employee in accordance with the State Employees Discipline Law, starting with the definition of the public employee and his assigned job such as public service (community service).
Sadiq explained the laws to which the public employee is subject and his rights represented by salary, leave, administrative and financial rights, and other rights. The Civil Service Law, the permanent employment law exclusively, the salaries law, and the retirement and inclusion laws for the year 2015 were also discussed, after talking about administrative decentralization and the powers of the official and the employee.
