The Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Alwan, participated in attending the medical oath ceremony at the College of Nursing for the academic year 2023-2024, along with the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim.
Alwan made an official visit to the Medical Technical Institute in Baghdad and was received by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Latif Issa Alwan. The two parties discussed ways to improve the scientific reality by publishing research in international journals after adopting publishing standards and scientific regulations, as well as other topics related to the applied aspect of scientific specializations for benefit of them in the labor market.
In a related context, the Dean of the Center attended the cultural evening activities on the occasion of Women’s Day, organized by the College of Education for Girls, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Faisal Abdul Amir, along with a number of deans. The evening included folkloric activities that represented the ancient Baghdad customs of women as well as stories in popular heritage and their role in raising an educated generation that bears social, educational and other responsibilities, in addition to devoting the concept of authenticity, belonging and national identity to Iraqi women.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Alwan was honored by the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology with a certificate of appreciation due to his cooperation in the success of the institute’s two seminars, which were held in the center’s great hall.
