The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad received a group of teachers from the Geography Department during a scientific visit to the Center with a group of students of the fourth stage of the department. This visit came to get to know the center and its laboratories and the most important geographical technologies applied in it, such as geographic information systems (GIS) and geographical location systems (GPS) and its importance in a practical way.
The Assistant Dean of the Center, Professor Dr. Moheib Kamel Fleih, delivered a lecture in which he explained the work of the Center and its precise specialization. He then gave a visual presentation on modern geographic information systems and their uses in urban development and urban expansion, which shortens the work in terms of time and engineering and mathematical calculations.
The Center of Urban and Regional Planning witnesses various scientific visits from specializations related to the nature of the center and its modern scientific productions that keep pace with the world.
