Assistant to the President of the University of Baghdad for Administrative Affairs and Dean of the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, participated in the ceremony of the “Labbaik Ya Hussain” program, which was hosted by the Presidency of the University of Baghdad in cooperation with the Holy Hussain Shrine, in order to raise the flag of Imam Hussein (PBUH), in the presence of the deans of faculties, research centers and others.
The flag of Imam Hussein (PBUH) was raised on the building of the presidency of the University of Baghdad, marking the Day of Sorrows and coinciding with the entry of the sacred month of Muharram.
Dr. Alwan delivered a speech in which he emphasized the Husseini message and the importance of imitating it and uniting against any endeavors aimed at destabilizing the unity of ranks and robbing the will to live in peace.
