The enter of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled (activating environmental legislation to reduce environmental pollution spatially) by researcher Ghaffar Imad Ghafouri, and supervised by Professor Dr. Nada Khalifa Muhammad. Environmental legislation that contributes to creating a pollution-free environment, and to reveal the effectiveness of using environmental incentives in reducing environmental pollution within the legislation in force.
The research concluded that laws and legislations are one of the basic means of environmental protection, management and environmental education, and that the Iraqi environmental law did not include the principle of sustainability in the articles and paragraphs of industrial facilities.
