Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Abdul-Majid Al-Salam, Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, chaired a master thesis discussion committee at the Faculty of Physical Planning at the University of Kufa, entitled “Urban Space Planning According to the Concept of Humanization of the City…Selected Dead Spaces in the City of Kufa as a case study”, by the student Hussein Alaa Fadel.
Al-Salam discussed with the researcher the opportunities to find urban spaces that center around the human being and meet all their needs and requirements, depending on the realization of the analytical description.
The research focused on discussing the concepts of humanization of Kufa City and urban space, and it resulted in the identification of the main factors that constitute the five humanizations (diversity, mobility and vitality, public health, comfort and well-being, safety and security).
