Assistant Professor Dr. Areej Khairy Al-Rawi, Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, chaired the discussion committee for a master’s thesis at the College of Urban Planning at the University of Kufa, entitled (Ways to enable governance to address urban encroachment Al-Kifl City), by the researcher Zainab Jaafar Muhammad Reda.
Al-Rawi questioned the researcher about the scientific concepts in terms of reviewing empowerment policies and strategies, the indicators of empowering governance in urban encroachment, after dealing with global experiences in empowerment, and then applying indicators of the theoretical aspect in Al-Kifl City.
It is noteworthy that the Center of Urban and Regional Planning has multiple scientific participations at Iraqi universities, due to the openness of the University of Baghdad to other universities, based on the principle (university at the service of community).
