The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis titled “Urban Management and Its Impact on the Implementation of New Cities” by student Rania Wissam Abdul-Jabbar, supervised by Professor Dr. Mustafa Abdul-Jalil Ibrahim. The thesis aimed to utilize all the development potential and economic and natural factors of the city’s location and environment, and employ them while developing an integrated standard administrative planning methodology for managing new cities.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The thesis premised that the success of a new city must be linked to urban management that achieves effective and integrated prosperity for the city. Abdul-Jabbar chose Al-Jawahiri City, west of Baghdad, as a model for applying urban management strategies to the master plan to achieve prosperity for new cities and enhance the efficiency of life there. This was based on an analysis of the master plan for Al-Jawahiri City and a study of the distribution of land uses and services and the extent of its compatibility with urban planning standards.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The thesis recommended evaluating the master plan for Al-Jawahiri City according to an integrated methodology that takes into account economic, social, and environmental aspects, and focuses on implementing the plans in a manner consistent with established plans to bridge the gap between the planning process and the implementation process, ensuring a quality of life for the city’s residents.<\/span><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
