The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the postgraduate diploma project entitled “Developing Primary Education Services in the Second Karkh Education Directorate – Al-Saydiya Study Area,” by student Ahmed Hussein Aliwi and supervised by lecturer Dr. Falah Mahdi. The research aimed to study the current state of primary education services in the Second Karkh and highlight the planning aspects that contribute to the development of the educational services provided. The student emphasized that the study area suffers from a lack of educational buildings at the primary level, in addition to the inefficiency of educational institutions due to the imbalance in the required teaching staff. This indicates a clear departure from local planning standards.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Recommendations focused on the need to pay attention to school buildings and the basic services provided by preparing a spatial map of the distribution of school buildings within Baghdad Governorate using GIS capabilities in agreement with the Ministry of Education. The shortage and deficit in the level of educational services provided throughout the study area should be addressed in accordance with approved educational standards after distributing teaching staff fairly among all schools in the area. Furthermore, attention should be paid to providing health services within each school to ensure the health of students.<\/span><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
