The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled (Evaluation of the urban location of recreational club services\/Iraqi Hunting Club, a case study) by the student Yasmine Haitham Obaid, and supervised by Professor Dr. Kareem Hasan Alwan. The thesis aimed to enhance community participation under the institutional perspective of social clubs, and to pay attention to the social, cultural and sports aspects that serve both genders and of different ages. <\/span><\/h4>\n

The research problem lies in the lack of interest in the entertainment sector in general and its services represented by the recreational, cultural, social and sports club facilities, which, after their existence, are an indicator of the quality and well-being of urban life in the city in light of the community need for them. Accordingly, the thesis recommended the importance of urban planning for areas being compatible with their urban context, as the requirements of the segments of society and the needs of families vary, in addition to their income that supports the cultural level, with the necessity of increasing the number of social clubs within the basic design of the capital, Baghdad, in addition to supporting the segment of the workforce whose ages range between (15-64) through recreational programs, activities and events that ensure spending leisure time in a correct manner with the family, and taking into consideration preserving the aesthetic image of the city and the humanitarian requirements of the population and removing slums while achieving well-being, security and safety.<\/span><\/h4>\n
