The Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies organized an awareness workshop entitled (The role of society in eliminating the scourge of drugs) in cooperation with the National Security Service, and in coordination with the Social Relations and Communication Unit in the Follow-up Department at the University of Baghdad. The workshop aimed to educate against drug dealing, marketing, and abuse as it is a deadly scourge. It ends with the death of its users, and the fate of its promoters becomes in the grip of the law.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Dr. Karar Musafir, from the Directorate of Training and Development in the National Security Service, discussed the effects of social media sites in promoting drugs to young students under the pretext of energy drugs, highlighting their side effects, such as the appearance of kidney disease and their impact on brain chemistry and the optic nerve, which leads to exhaustion. The physical and human transformation from a state of consciousness to a state of unconsciousness and deviance from social and moral norms, which cause family disintegration and social disintegration. Two films were shown that documented ambushes by the security services and the arrest of accused carriers of these drugs and in the form of medical pills, in addition to the arrest of distributors in the governorates and reaching By interrogating them to the main suppliers, raiding their homes, and completely dismantling their networks.<\/span><\/h4>\n

For his part, Major in the Directorate of University Security, Ali Abdul Razzaq Khudair, stressed the necessity of developing a sense of precaution among citizens first and among students second, and reporting suspicious cases that affect the security of the state and society by calling 131 or by reporting in person.
